About Lakeside :
Lakeside came about when the El Cajon Valley Land Company purchased some land. Lakeside began as a resort town based around Lindo Lake which was made famous back in 1907 by Barney Oldfield. It was also once home to the historical Lakeside Hotel. The River Park along the river bed is one of the major focuses of the Lakeside community. This is a place where equestrians and walkers can enjoy safe paths, beautiful scenery and where native animals reside.
